Investment Team

  • Brian is one of the two co-founders of Outpost Capital Partners. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Brian oversees our trading operations. Prior to co-founding Outpost Capital Partners, Brian was a senior trader at distressed-focused investment firms in the United States and Dubai. His network of insolvency professionals and experience trading in emerging and frontier markets helps give Outpost Capital Partners a truly global reach. He graduated from The Pennsylvania State University, with a degree in Political Science, and earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

  • Clint is one of the two co-founders of Outpost Capital Partners. In addition to his role as Managing Partner, Clint oversees research and analysis. Prior to co-founding Outpost Capital Partners, Clint was a litigator at Kobre & Kim LLP and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP. His litigation experience allows Outpost Capital Partners to make informed investment decisions in situations where recoveries are driven by the outcome of highly uncertain legal proceedings. He graduated from Yale University, with an interdisciplinary degree from the Program on Ethics, Politics, and Economics, and earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

  • Kevin is a Managing Director and General Counsel, based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, he was General Counsel for a leading ecological restoration and environmental consulting firm specializing in full-delivery risk-transfer solutions. He has extensive experience negotiating complex purchase-sale agreements that allow claim holders to monetize illiquid assets. He graduated from Vanderbilt University, earning a degree from the School of Engineering in Engineering Science with a double major in Economics, and earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.

  • Jack is a Managing Director, based out of Outpost’s Fort Worth, TX office. He focuses on asset acquisition strategies, with a particular emphasis on affirmative litigation. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, Jack was responsible for directing strategy and acquisitions for both corporations and private funds. He has advised public and private agencies on multi-billion-dollar transactions. Jack has also held trading positions at a US-based special-situations investment firm where he acquired assets across multiple jurisdictions. He is a graduate of the University of Texas McCombs School of Business.

  • Peter is a Managing Director based out of Outpost’s New York office. He focuses on research and analysis of complex litigation situations with an emphasis on antitrust and class actions. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, he practiced law at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and at Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca LLP, held leadership roles in federal multi-district litigations, and clerked for the Hon. Allyne R. Ross of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He graduated with honors from the University of Chicago and earned his J.D. magna cum laude from the Georgetown University Law Center.

  • Caitlin is a Director based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. She focuses on asset acquisition strategies, with a particular emphasis on litigation related opportunities and non-U.S. insolvencies. Caitlin’s work at Outpost is informed by nearly a decade of experience counseling principals in the private equity and financial services industries, as part of which Caitlin negotiated complex corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and carve-out transactions, leveraged recapitalizations, preferred financings and transactions involving distressed assets and special situations. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, she practiced as a senior corporate attorney at Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. Caitlin earned a B.S., M.P.A. and J.D. from Syracuse University.

  • Chris is a Director, based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. He focuses on credit research and the trading of legal claims and distressed debt obligations. Chris has over 20 years of experience in leveraged finance and distressed debt. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, Chris analyzed distressed situations for two Minneapolis-based hedge funds, CarVal Investors and Pine River Capital Management. Chris also worked as an investment banker in high yield and leveraged finance at Deutsche Bank, Bank of America and Chemical Bank and in institutional sales for two boutique debt trading firms. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a BS in Accounting.

  • Sean is a Vice-President, based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. He focuses on asset acquisition strategies, with a particular emphasis on liquidations and litigation related opportunities. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, Sean held positions at CaaS Capital Management and Column Park Asset Management. Sean has also held a trading position at a US-based distressed debt investment fund where he targeted assets in North America and Europe, with a focus on insolvency claims. He is a graduate of Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.

  • Ariana is a member of our in-house legal team, based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, Ariana practiced as a corporate attorney at Kastner Gravelle LLP, based in Austin, TX, and began her legal career as a corporate and securities attorney in the New York office of Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. She graduated from Colgate University with a B.A. in Political Science and earned her J.D. from Columbia Law School.

  • Alisa is a Trading and Operations Specialist, based out of Outpost’s Connecticut headquarters. She focuses on closing transactions involving distressed debt and litigation claims. Prior to joining Outpost Capital Partners, Alisa spent over two decades in various financial services roles, including over eighteen years with Contrarian Capital Management as a Bank Debt Loan Closer and Trade Claims Specialist. She is a graduate of Colorado State University.
